Game overview

What SlashZero is, who publishes it, and how the loop works

Aerial combat in a bioluminescent SlashZero timeline with fire, ice crystal, and HUD visible

SlashZero is a 3D anime-style side-scrolling action roguelike from Streetlamp Studio, published by Skystone Games. You play a Timehacker leaping across shattered timelines to hunt HIEROS-I, the Lord of the Void. Combat mixes ground strings, aerial juggles, and parkour vaults, then layers Blessings, Temporal Fragments, and Upgrade Chips onto each run. The full game is scheduled for Spring 2027 on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. A time-limited demo on Steam and PS5 runs from 3 September through 23 September 2026 and wipes save data when it ends. Start with the getting started guide, then check the demo window, the Timehacker roster, and the character tier list.

Quick start

New to SlashZero? Follow these steps before your first timeline.

  1. 1

    Grab the limited demo

The SlashZero demo is a time-limited, data-wipe test on Steam and PlayStation 5 from 3 September through 23 September 2026. Read the demo guide for dates, wipe rules, and system specs before you install.

  2. 2

    Learn the first-hour loop

Pick Nyx or Fina, leave camp through the street lamp, and clear Sector 7. The getting started guide covers hub NPCs, death, and what to spend between runs.

  3. 3

    Lock in combat inputs

Streetlamp recommends a controller. The controls guide explains basic strings, aerial launches, dash-cancels, specials, and ultimates so you stop eating chip damage.

  4. 4

    Build around Blessings

Authorities such as True Self of Flame and Law of Thunder reshape your kit mid-run. Use the build primer and the build tier list to stack synergies instead of random icons.

  5. 5

    Unlock Hamlet and hunt secrets

After a completed loop, talk to Rui at the Fortune Chip, then chase timeline clues. Follow how to unlock Hamlet, the secret boss guide, and story and lore for Erik, Ye, and HIEROS-I.
