SlashZero Story and Lore
What Streetlamp has confirmed about HIEROS-I, Silver, and the Null Void — without inventing a campaign ending.
SlashZero sells stylish combat first, then asks you to piece a conspiracy together across failed loops. Streetlamp Studio and Skystone Games have not published a full plot bible. What they have published is consistent: you play a Timehacker, Silver talks in your ear, timelines lie, and HIEROS-I — Lord of the Void — is the target. This page is the lore map for the September 2026 demo window and the trailers around it. Boss routing lives on secret bosses and HIEROS-I. Dates live on the demo launch notes.
The full campaign is still scheduled for Spring 2027. Treat every story flag in the demo as a test slice. Saves wipe on 23 September 2026. Nothing you decode is a launch carry-over.
The pitch Streetlamp keeps repeating
HIEROS-I descends. The order of time shatters. Timelines tangle so he can hide inside them. A resistance of Timehackers dives into the Null Void, hunts uncorrupted Authority Keys, and tries to reach Timeline Zero before the Void eats every remaining world. You are one of those Timehackers. The question the store page keeps asking — “Is what you see the truth?” — is the plot, not flavor text.
The 3 September 2026 State of Play story trailer is blunter. Silver (or a voice that sounds like the mission) says never forget: kill HIEROS-I. Then another voice tells Timehackers their mission was a farce, to forget false timelines, and to face reality. Fina is named in that cut. The demo lets you play her from minute one; the trailer uses her as the face of a broken briefing. Watch the PlayStation cut on the home page if you want the new audio. The reveal trailer on this page is the March 2026 version of the same war.
Silver
Silver is the mysterious guiding voice. Early playtest footage and TechRaptor’s preview treat Silver like a handler who can be cut. Erik’s first appearance — not the later secret-boss rematch — severs the Timehacker’s connection to Silver and ends that loop as a scripted loss. You are not supposed to “git gud” through that first Erik. You are supposed to go back to camp, talk, and come back later with Blessings. Details sit on the secret boss guide.
If Silver goes quiet mid-run, that is a story beat, not a bug. The Fortune Chip camp is where the voice is supposed to return. Rui, gifts, and NPC talk at camp are how Streetlamp is testing Hades-style relationships. None of that is multiplayer.
Timehackers and false timelines
Nyx and Fina start selectable. Hamlet is a stage robot who “awakened under mysterious circumstances” and is framed as carrying the job of saving the world on stage and across timelines. Unlock him after a completed loop; the checklist is how to unlock Hamlet.
A timeline in SlashZero is not a New Game Plus slot. Sector 7 can look like the same street with different lore fragments, different enemy reads, and different mission flags. Streetlamp’s own playtest walkthrough starts runs in Sector 7, territory of the Rust Avenue Wolves. Chambers of respite and shops sit between fights. Secret rooms and events exist. The demo is linear in the sense that you keep starting from a known camp, not in the sense that every street is a copy.
“False timelines” in the story trailer are the reason you should not treat the first ending of a loop as canon. HIEROS-I hides by writing laws with the power of the Imaginary. Your job is to find the uncorrupted Keys, reach Timeline Zero, and stop him. The demo can put you in front of HIEROS-I if you finish the challenge chain. That is an encounter, not a credits roll for the Spring 2027 game.
Authority Keys, Codes, and 秘聞
Japanese coverage of the systems uses the same English kit with local labels: Authority Keys, Blessings, Authority Codes, plus “secrets” or lore fragments you unlock between fights, and supplies you spend outside combat. English store copy matches that split. In-run you stack Blessings and Temporal Fragments. Out-of-run you decode Authority Codes, embed Upgrade Chips, and talk at camp. The builds primer is the mechanical page. This page only cares that those systems are how the story is drip-fed. A Dual Blessing is a power. A lore fragment is why Silver sounded different that loop.
Do not expect a codex that spoils Spring 2027. Streetlamp’s Dev Diary 5 (3 September 2026) promised easter eggs without story spoilers. If a camp NPC repeats a line after Hamlet unlocks, write it down. The wipe will delete the flag.
What the demo can actually show you
In twenty days you can reasonably see: Silver’s briefing, Erik’s first cut, a completed Sector 7 loop, Hamlet’s unlock story, Ye’s later flags, and a HIEROS-I challenge if you keep looping. You will not see a locked ending date or a priced collector’s edition. Price is still TBA. Platforms for the full game remain Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5.
If you came here from the trailer comments arguing about discs: SlashZero is digital on the announced storefronts. That is not lore. That is a store page.
Read Getting Started before you hunt flags. Read the demo guide so you do not start a Hamlet quest on 23 September at 14:50 UTC. Come back to this page when a voice in the Null Void tells you the mission was a farce — that line is doing work.
Streetlamp has not named a writer’s-room wiki. Until Spring 2027, the canon is trailers, Steam news, and what the demo lets you trigger. Everything else is a theory you should keep off the tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Timehackers jumping into the demo or planning for launch.
Who is HIEROS-I in SlashZero?
HIEROS-I is the Lord of the Void, the Timehackers’ primary target. The State of Play trailer frames him as an entity that uses the Imaginary to write new laws across timelines. Encounter routing is on secret bosses.
Who is Silver?
Silver is the mysterious handler voice. Erik’s first appearance severs that line. Camp at the Fortune Chip is where the connection is supposed to resume. See secret bosses and Getting Started.
Does the demo tell the whole story?
No. The demo is a time-limited slice with a data wipe on 23 September 2026. The full game is scheduled for Spring 2027. Treat demo flags as tests, not a locked ending.
Is Hamlet part of the story or just a fighter?
Both. Official copy calls him a stage robot who awakened under mysterious circumstances. Unlock steps are on how to unlock Hamlet; kit notes are on the Hamlet page.
Where is the new story trailer?
PlayStation posted the State of Play story trailer on 3 September 2026. The [home page](/) embeds that cut. This page keeps the March reveal trailer so the two are not duplicated.
