SlashZero Fina

Female Timehacker with dual firearms and energy beams — mid-range spacing for rooftops, bosses, and first loops.

Fina

Fina is the female Timehacker you can select beside Nyx as soon as the SlashZero demo opens. Screenshots and trailers show blue hair, a dark cropped jacket, and two firearms that throw hard-light beams rather than quiet bullets. Streetlamp Studio pitches her as the mid-range gunner. In the 3–23 September 2026 window that means she is the starter who lets you see a telegraph before it deletes you.

She is not a turret. SlashZero still wants dashes, aerial fire, and Blessing boards. Fina simply holds a pocket of space Nyx cannot afford. If your first deaths were all “I was standing in the hit,” this is the kit to learn before you chase Hamlet.

The full game remains an upcoming Spring 2027 launch (Steam lists Q1 2027). Fina’s beams, boss matchups, and Blessing pairings here describe the demo, not a locked launch gun.

Dual firearms and energy beams

Fina’s weapons are a pair of guns that double as beam casters. The rooftop screenshot everyone shares is the kit’s thesis: she is airborne over glass panels, a collapsing cyberpunk block behind her, and two beams — one violet, one cyan — punching through floating drones while a melee scrap waits on the floor. That is mid-range play. You are close enough that a dash still matters and far enough that a dragon breath has to travel.

Normals stitch the guns. Specials and the ultimate are where the beams go wide or stay up while you reposition. Dash is how you keep the pocket when an elite closes. If you stand still and hose a lane, you will eat the same melee Nyx is built to crush. Read the controls guide so aerial fire is a planned string, not panic left-trigger.

Spacing: why she is the safer first loop

Nyx is faster in the air and on the ground. Fina is safer because her damage does not require you to stand inside the fire ring. That is the whole starter split. On a train roof she can hold the car’s end and clip clustered bodies without committing to the burn circle. In a jungle she can shoot a launch Nyx would rather ride. In a wide boss hall she can walk the edge of a slam.

Safer is not tankier. Fina still dies to greed, to missed dashes, and to standing in acid because the beam animation felt important. Safer means you get a fraction of a second to decide. Spend that fraction; do not farm it for screenshots.

Rooftop beams and the dragon-boss hall

Two official shots should live in your head while you play her.

The rooftop: glass floor, inverted city chunks, twin beams on airborne trash. Practice this even when the demo gives you a flat street. If you cannot shoot while drifting, you do not have Fina yet — you have a grounded gunner wearing her coat.

The dragon hall: a cavernous interior, green acid vomit, a winged chimera with a sword-like horn, and Fina holding mid-range while a slime puddle occupies the floor she might have dashed into. That is her boss pattern. You are not Nyx trying to hug the head. You are drawing the spit, stepping out, and paying it back with beams. The same habit carries to secret bosses such as Erik and Ye: large bodies, long tells, rooms that punish people who live in melee.

If a secret fight still feels unfair on Fina, the problem is usually Blessing greed or a missed dash, not the guns. Check the secret boss guide for encounter flags, then come back to spacing.

When to pick Fina instead of Nyx or Hamlet

Pick Fina for your first loop if you want to learn the camp, the lamp, and Sector 7 without also learning a four-hit juggle. Pick her when the next biome is a wide interior or a rooftop with long sightlines. Pick her when you want Law of Thunder or Eternity of Water to actually attach, because beams give you time to apply wet or cold before you commit.

Pick Nyx when the timeline is a movement exam — train edges, vertical jungles, rooms that starve a gunner of angle. Pick Hamlet after a completed loop if you want a shield for clustered melee and you have already talked to Rui. Hamlet is not a ranged sidegrade; he is a close-range group tool with an unlock tax. The character tier list puts Fina in A for the demo: always available, excellent spacing, slightly behind Nyx because SlashZero’s stages still reward the fastest mover.

Blessings that respect the guns

Fina wants status she can plant from a step away. Law of Thunder plus wet or cold is the board the demo UI already explains in plain language: lightning chains jump, wet slows, cold increases damage taken, and a thunder arc pops when those states are present. Eternity of Water feeds that plan. Infinity of Space — new in this demo — fits a gunner who already thinks in position. Hope of Life and Causality of Fate are the “I am learning” crutches; take them if bosses are eating your loops, not as a personality.

True Self of Flame still works, but Fina is not Nyx standing in her own ring. If you ignite a doorway, leave a lane to shoot through it. Full routes live on the build primer and the build tier list.

Silver will keep talking. Rui will keep sitting on Fortune Chip business you need for Hamlet, not for a Fina buff. Gift camp NPCs if you are playing the hub the way previews described, then take the guns back through the lamp. The demo wipes in late September 2026. Use the days to make rooftop beams boringly consistent, then cash a clear into the robot.

Fina is the Timehacker who lets you watch SlashZero instead of drowning in it. Nyx is the one who turns the same rooftop into a blur. You will want both before Spring 2027. For the demo, put the blue-hair gunner in your hands until the dragon spit is readable, then decide whether you still miss the blades.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Timehackers jumping into the demo or planning for launch.

Is Fina a starting Timehacker?

Yes. Fina and Nyx are the two default demo fighters. Hamlet unlocks later. You pick her at camp before walking the street lamp.

Does Fina use swords or guns?

Guns. Dual firearms that throw energy beams, including aerial shots on rooftops. Close-range blades belong to Nyx; the longsword and shield belong to Hamlet.

Is Fina better than Nyx for bosses?

Often, yes, when the boss is large and telegraphs from across a hall — the dragon-like acid fight is the example. Nyx still wins cramped movement stages. Compare them on the character tier list.

Which Blessings should Fina take?

Thunder with wet or cold, Water to apply those states, and Space if you are leaning into position. Fate or Life if you are still dying to chip. See the build primer and build tier list.

Can Fina help with secret bosses?

Her range is the point. Use it to learn tells on Erik, Ye, and other hidden fights, then read the secret boss guide for how those encounters actually open.

Where are Fina's inputs listed?

On the controls guide. This page is spacing and matchups. The control sheet is dash, aerial fire, special, and ultimate.
