SlashZero Hamlet

Stage robot Timehacker with a longsword and a shield that reconfigures mid-fight — unlock him after a completed loop.

Hamlet

Hamlet is the third playable Timehacker in the SlashZero demo and the only one who does not start on the select screen. Streetlamp Studio teased him as a mysterious figure in the June 2026 global trailer; the 3–23 September 2026 demo is the first time he is playable, and only after you earn him. He is a stage robot. He fights at close range with a longsword and a shield that can reconfigure during combat, and that kit is aimed at groups rather than Nyx’s single-target dance or Fina’s beam pocket.

If you opened this page hoping for a day-one main, stop. Finish a loop as Nyx or Fina, then follow how to unlock Hamlet. This page is who he is, how he feels, and when he is worth the extra story flags. It is not the step-by-step camp script.

SlashZero’s full launch is still Spring 2027. Hamlet’s demo kit, unlock tax, and group-clear identity can all move before then. Treat every comparison below as a snapshot from a wipe test, not a promise that the robot stays the melee tank at launch.

Sword, shield, and the interior screenshot

Official combat art puts Hamlet in a purple stage interior: wet floor, overhead spots, a gold geometric construct, and a heavy gunner already in the air. Hamlet is low, shield up, longsword out, committing to the body in front of him. That is the opposite of Fina’s rooftop beams. You are not kiting a dragon from mid-screen. You are occupying a doorway and daring the room to walk into the plate.

The shield is the kit’s personality. Streetlamp describes it as reconfigurable mid-combat, which in practice means you are not glued to one block animation. You can change how the plate sits as the group shifts — cover a wide add wave, then collapse it to push a single elite. The longsword is the punish, not a Nyx juggle toy. Hamlet’s strings still use the shared normal / special / ultimate skeleton, plus dash, but the dash is a reposition into the wall, not a train-roof orbit. Learn the buttons on the controls guide; learn the timing here.

Group clear is why he exists. Nyx can shred a cluster if he launches it. Fina can clip it from a beam angle. Hamlet wants the cluster to stay on the floor in front of the shield so the sword can sweep it. If a timeline is all vertical platforms and thin ledges, you will feel slow. If it is a packed interior, he feels like the missing starter.

Unlock summary (then go to the real guide)

Hamlet is locked until you do three kinds of work:

  1. Complete a loop as Nyx or Fina. A failed run does not count. You need a finished excursion back at camp.
  2. Talk to Rui at the Fortune Chip. Rui is the camp NPC on chip business, not Silver the voice in your ear.
  3. Hit timeline and mission conditions on later loops so Hamlet’s story actually opens. The demo ties him to the hub’s story web, not to a single shop purchase.

Those three lines are the official shape of the unlock, not a hidden code. For dialogue order, map flags, and what to do if Rui has nothing new to say, use how to unlock Hamlet. Do not invent extra rituals on this page and then argue with the dedicated guide.

Silver still narrates your runs while you farm the unlock. Camp gifting — the Hades-like loop previews mentioned — can continue in the background. None of it is a second player. SlashZero stays single-player whether you are on blades, guns, or the robot.

Hamlet versus Nyx and Fina

Nyx is faster in the air and on the ground. He wants launches, train edges, and contact Blessings. If you unlock Hamlet and play him like Nyx, you will hate the weight. Hamlet does not win a movement exam; he wins a room that refuses to thin out.

Fina is the safer spacer. She holds rooftops and dragon halls with beams. Hamlet is worse at that job. He is better when the same hall fills with adds that would eat Fina’s pocket. Think of Fina as the boss reader and Hamlet as the add filter. Many demo loops want both skills on different runs, not on one HUD.

The character tier list puts Hamlet in B for the demo: the kit is real, the group clear is real, and the unlock cost plus slower mobility keep him out of S. That is not an insult. It is a reminder that two starters exist so you can learn the game without a story gate.

If you main Hamlet the moment he pops and skip learning Nyx dash or Fina beams, you will hit Spring 2027 with one heavy sword and no backup plan. Unlock him. Play him. Then go back to the starters on purpose.

Blessings that fit a folding shield

Hamlet wants effects that pay him for standing in the pile he created. True Self of Flame turns a shield wall into a burn room. Causality of Fate’s revival baseline is a gift to a fighter who eats hits by design. Hope of Life is the same idea with sustain instead of a second chance. Law of Thunder can work if you can wet or cold a pack before the sweep; it is still easier to start on Fina. Wisdom of Wind is usually a Nyx purchase — Hamlet is not trying to become the fastest Timehacker in the demo.

Infinity of Space is new this window and more of a positioning experiment than a robot identity. Try it after Flame and Fate feel obvious. Full routes belong on the build primer and the build tier list, not as a fake DPS table on this page.

When the demo wipes on 23 September 2026, Hamlet’s unlock goes with it. If you still have days on the clock, cash one clean Nyx or Fina loop, talk to Rui, and spend a later run on the robot so you know whether you even like the shield. That knowledge travels to Spring 2027. The save file does not.

Hamlet is the Timehacker for people who got tired of dancing past a crowd and wanted the crowd to stop. Nyx flies. Fina aims. The stage robot plants a plate and asks the timeline to come closer. Unlock him once, then decide if that sentence sounds like you.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Timehackers jumping into the demo or planning for launch.

How do I unlock Hamlet in the SlashZero demo?

Complete a loop as Nyx or Fina, talk to Rui at the Fortune Chip, then follow timeline story flags on later runs. The full checklist is how to unlock Hamlet.

Was Hamlet shown before the September 2026 demo?

Yes. Streetlamp teased him in the June 2026 global trailer as a mysterious character. The demo is the first time he is playable, and only after the unlock, not on first boot.

Is Hamlet ranged like Fina?

No. He is a close-range group fighter with a longsword and a reconfigurable shield. Beams and dual guns belong to Fina. Dual blades belong to Nyx.

Should I unlock Hamlet before learning Nyx or Fina?

No. You cannot. The unlock needs a completed loop on a starter. Learn Nyx or Fina first, then spend a later run on the robot.

Why is Hamlet lower on the character tier list?

Demo ranking weights mobility, range, and unlock cost. Hamlet's group clear is strong, but he is slower than Nyx and gated. See the character tier list for the S/A/B reasoning.

Which Blessings should Hamlet take?

Flame for standing in packs, Fate or Life for the hits he will take, then experiment. Use the build primer and build tier list rather than copying a Nyx Wind board.
