SlashZero Build Tier List

Flame, Thunder, Fate, Water, Wind, Space, Life — demo-era directions for Nyx, Fina, and Hamlet, not a fake DPS sheet.

Build Tier List

SlashZero does not hand you a finished loadout at camp. You leave as Nyx, Fina, or Hamlet, then the run writes a Blessing board on top of that body. This page ranks the seven Authority directions in the September 2026 demo: True Self of Flame, Law of Thunder (with wet and cold), Causality of Fate, Eternity of Water, Wisdom of Wind, Infinity of Space, and Hope of Life. It is a demo-era list. The full launch is still Spring 2027. Boards, names, and synergies can all move.

We still will not print invented DPS. The decoder UI already tells you what a baseline does — Fate’s card literally reads that you gain a revival chance — and the thunder tooltip already explains chain lightning, wet slow, and cold amplifying damage taken. That is enough to rank a direction. How you pick among three icons after a room is the build primer. Who should carry which board is the rest of this page. Character letters live on the character tier list.

S — True Self of Flame (burn)

Flame is the demo’s loudest close-range board. You see it on train roofs: a ring of fire, clustered bodies, and a Timehacker who either orbits the burn or dies in it. Nyx wants this because his job is contact time. Hamlet wants it because his job is a doorway full of people who will not leave. Fina can use it, but she has to leave a lane through her own fire or she is just a slower Nyx with guns.

Burn is S because it pays you for playing the kit you already picked, not because a hidden number says fire ticks hardest. If you ignite the only floor on a train car, you still fail the movement exam. Pair Flame with dash literacy from the controls guide, not with greed.

S — Law of Thunder (wet and cold)

Thunder is the demo’s loudest ranged board, and the UI is unusually honest about it. Lightning chains jump between bodies with falling damage. Wet slows movement and attack. Cold makes the target take more. A thunder-arc Blessing pops extra damage when lightning hits a wet or cold enemy. That package is a real synergy, not a vibe.

Fina is the cleanest carrier. Beams give her time to plant a state and then shoot it. Nyx can ride Thunder if he can apply the state in melee, but he is often better off in Flame. Hamlet can sweep a wet pack; he is not the one who applies it from a rooftop. If you take Thunder without Water or another wet/cold source, you are holding a chain with nothing to shock.

A — Causality of Fate (revival)

Fate’s baseline in the decoder is not subtle: gain a revival chance. In a wipe demo that is an A-tier direction on every Timehacker, and it is almost a second health bar on Hamlet, who eats hits by design, and on Nyx, who lives in chip range. It does not clear rooms. It buys the room after the one that should have ended the loop.

Stack Fate when you are still learning a boss tell or when you are hunting secret bosses and cannot afford a brick at the door. Do not stack Fate and then play as if you cannot die. The revival is a demo tool, not a personality.

A — Eternity of Water

Water is A because it feeds Thunder more than it stars alone. Wet is the state the lightning board wants. A Fina who takes Water and then Thunder is playing the screenshot. A Nyx who takes Water with no follow-up is holding a slow that does not justify giving up Flame. Hamlet can enjoy a slowed pack in front of the shield; he still wants a damage Authority on top.

If the demo offers Water early and Thunder later, take the bait. If it offers Water and you are committed to a pure Flame Nyx, skip it and stop forcing a dual identity.

B — Wisdom of Wind

Wind is the mobility Authority, which sounds like a second S-tier until you remember Nyx already is the mobility kit. Extra movement on the fastest Timehacker is real and still B as a whole-roster grade, because Fina would rather shoot and Hamlet would rather plant. Put Wind on Nyx when the timeline is all ledges. Do not put it on Hamlet to “fix” the robot. The character tier list already charged him for being slow; a Wind icon will not make him Nyx.

B — Infinity of Space

Space is new in this demo window. That alone keeps it out of S. We do not have months of public routing. What we have is a gunner who already thinks in pockets and a robot who already thinks in doorways. Space looks like a positioning board. Fina is the obvious lab rat. Nyx can experiment if a run hands it to him. Treat early Space picks as notes for Spring 2027, not as a claim that we know the ceiling.

B — Hope of Life

Life is sustain. It is the quieter cousin of Fate: fewer dramatic second chances, more “I did not have to use the revival.” Hamlet and a scared first-loop Fina like it. A clean Nyx who already dashes through chip may not need it. B is not “skip forever.” B is “take it when the demo is teaching you a boss, then take it off when you can read the spit.”

How to actually use this list

Pick the body first on the Timehackers hub. Nyx leans Flame, then Wind, then Fate. Fina leans Thunder, Water, Space, then Fate. Hamlet leans Flame, Fate, Life. Then open the build primer so the next three icons after a room are a decision, not a panic grab. This page is the map of directions. The primer is the turn-by-turn.

When the demo wipes on 23 September 2026, your board dies with the save. The habit of refusing random icons does not. Bring that habit to Spring 2027, and assume every letter on this page will be argued again the week Streetlamp adds an eighth Authority.

If you only remember one line: burn for people who stand in the pile, lightning for people who can wet a target, Fate for people who are still dying, and everything else is a specialist board. The rest is which Timehacker you walked through the lamp.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Timehackers jumping into the demo or planning for launch.

Which SlashZero Authority is best in the demo?

Flame for close-range Nyx and Hamlet, Thunder plus wet or cold for Fina. Those are the two S directions. Fate is the A-tier run-saver. This is demo-era, not a Spring 2027 promise.

Should Nyx take Thunder?

He can, if he can apply wet or cold in melee. Flame and Wind usually fit him better. Read Nyx and the build primer before forcing a gunner board onto blades.

Is Causality of Fate only for beginners?

No. A revival chance is a legitimate A-tier tool for Hamlet, for secret-boss hunts, and for any loop you cannot afford to brick. It is not a room-clear Authority.

Why is Infinity of Space only B?

It is new in this demo. We rank what the window has shown, not a guessed ceiling. Fina is the best lab for it. Recheck after launch.

Where do I learn how to pick Blessings mid-run?

The build primer. This page ranks directions. The primer covers the actual after-combat choices. Character fit is also on the Timehackers hub.

Will these build tiers survive the Spring 2027 launch?

Probably not as written. Streetlamp can retune Authorities and add boards. Use this list for the September 2026 wipe test, then come back.
